Welcome to fileGOD. By using our website at filegod.app ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What fileGOD does
fileGOD provides browser-based file tools for compressing, converting, merging, and editing PDFs and images. Most tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed locally and never uploaded to our servers unless explicitly stated for a specific tool.
Accounts
You can use some features as a guest without creating an account. To access higher usage limits, you need to sign up with a Google account or email and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately through our contact page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Using the Service for any illegal purpose or to process illegal content.
- Attempting to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms.
- Reverse-engineering or scraping any part of the Service.
- Using automated scripts or bots to access the Service without our written permission.
- Uploading files that contain malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Your files
You own your files. We do not claim any ownership or license over the files you process through fileGOD. For client-side tools, your files never leave your device. For server-side tools (coming soon), uploaded files are processed and automatically deleted within 1 hour. We do not access, review, or share your files.
Usage limits
Free accounts and guest users have limited actions per time period. Paid plans offer higher or unlimited usage. Current limits are displayed on our Pricing page. We may adjust these limits at any time with reasonable notice.
Paid plans
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months, but we may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Prices may change, but we will notify you in advance before any change takes effect.
Availability and warranties
We do our best to keep fileGOD running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any data loss, file corruption, or other damages arising from use of the Service. Always keep backups of important files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, fileGOD and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Intellectual property
The fileGOD name, logo, design, and code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. This does not apply to your own files, which remain yours.
Privacy
Termination
You can stop using fileGOD at any time. You can delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be settled in the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
